From Denver,
The drive from Downtown Denver to the townhomes takes about 3.5 hours. That includes time for a couple of stops along the way. An advantage to this trek compared to driving to mountain homes in Colorado is the very light traffic on I-76. While Summit, Eagle and Grand Counties are closer to Denver, Sunday afternoon traffic jams on the I-70 corridor can make for a longer and more stressful return home.

Make your way to I-76 and go northeast towards Nebraska. Set your cruise control, because you'll be on this road for awhile (approximately 180 miles). Along the way you can stop in Ft. Morgan, Brush or Sterling for gas and food.

Nebraska,
As you cross the state line, things will start happening quite quickly. First you will merge onto I-80. The next exit is Big Springs, so get off here. Cross over the highway north on Big Springs Road (a.k.a. 25B). There is a truck stop on the north side of the road. We recommend topping off your gas tank here. Continue north past the grain silo, through downtown Big Springs, past Highway 30, and keep going north to Highway 26. It is about 14 miles from I-80 to Hwy 26.

Don't worry about missing Hwy 26 since Big Spring Road ends there. As you get to 26, you will see a sign that says "Lake McConaughy" and displays an arrow to go west. DISREGARD THIS SIGN! Go east on 26 for about 13 miles to Lakeview Road. The road is marked by a giant wooden sign on the south side of the road that says "Van's Lakeview". Go north towards Van's Fishing Camp (about four miles). As you enter the camp, you will see a boat with "Bayside Golf Course" painted on it; turn left here (Lakeview West Road).

As you travel up the hill, look over to the right. You'll see a cluster of townhomes at the top of the hill about a mile away. That's us! Lakeview West road will zig zag around for about two miles before taking you to the Eagle Bay Townhomes' property.
